From Finding to Creating Yourself

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.
— George Bernard Shaw

I spent so much time asking myself, “Who am I?”
What makes me, me? My unique traits, for sure. My talents. My desires.

I focused on chasing experiences that were meant to draw out pieces of information from within me, hoping to complete the puzzle of “I”. Most of the time, I was left empty-handed, with only chaos in my head. Maybe looking for myself wasn’t taking me where I truly wanted to go.

And this led me to travel, to move a lot, because everywhere I went, I was searching for the most authentic version of myself. Yet so many times, this only made me feel lost — out of alignment, far from my path.
Was I trying to control too much? Running around without ever deciding where I truly wanted to go?

Now I’ve shifted my focus and started investing deeply in creating myself. Not a mask, not an artificial self, but the best version I feel I can become. Moving slowly, listening to the gentle nudges my soul keeps leaving at my doorstep.

Now I allow myself to visualize and breathe in the version of me I want to create.

Is this version authentic? The answer is a full yes.

And why? Because I’m creating from a place of listening — to my soul, my true desires, my needs — while keeping the ego out of the way.
The more I release the static, outdated version of myself, the more I resonate with who I’m becoming.

We are in constant evolution, anyway.
